Joe and Austin were absolutely incredible; I have already shared how grateful I am to friends and family.
So happy with the whole process. Was told by so many people on so many sides of things that this was one of the easiest home sales that they’ve helped take care of. I never felt discouraged, even through some of the bumps and hiccups along the way.
Veterans United is a fantastic company to work with. They are super helpful, responsive, and really go the extra mile for you and your family. Alice, Michael, Jared, Josh, Kevin and Justin are all amazing. We wouldn't have our house if they didn't take the time to hear our story and care like they do. Will definitely recommend and work with again for any potential future homes. Thank you Veterans United!
I initially reached out to George around 6 years ago when I was hoping to get info on buying my first house. George introduced me to a credit specialists/advisor at VeteransUnited who guided me on building up my credit. Using the tips provided I was able to drastically improve my credit score. Around this time I got married and moved into her house, but when we finally decided to move only a few months ago I reached back out to George to see if he could help me obtain my COE verifying my VA loan eligibility. I was expecting this to be a long drawn out process because your dealing with the VA - but George has some clutch VA contacts, he pulled the necessary strings to have my COE delivered in a matter of days.
From there we began looking at houses, and when we found a place we liked I applied with George for a VA loan and was approved. George and every member of his team were consummate professionals. Each veteransunited team member was clearly an experts in their field, and everyone I interacted with was very friendly. 10/10 George and his team are the best in the biz. Lucky to have them in Upstate SC
If you want a good ribeye then go to a buffet; if you want a great ribeye, go to a stake house. If you want a good lender then go to your local bank, but if you want a GREAT lender, go to Veterans United!
Thank you so much Tyson & Team, and Veterans United! So glad you guys were there for us.
Such a great place for a home loan. Quick to answer questions and really walk you through the process.
Charged me for things you didn't have to charge me for, pretty misleading about being affiliated with the VA or Veterans and you have zero affiliation with the VA or any Veteran Service Organizations, and quickly finding out how bad the rate I got from you is. On top of all that, your concierge service is pretty bad - said my change of address was completed and I found out it wasn't. Your portal overall was pretty seamless and easy to use, but I'm sure that will be duplicated by many in very short order. You helped me get a home, which I have some gratitude for - which is why you get a 6 and not a 1.Overall experience - feels like one of those car places right outside of Fort Hood. Trying to take advantage and make money off of us instead of actually being of service.
Response from Veterans United
Thank you for sharing your open and honest feedback Robert.
Veterans United Home Loans is a private mortgage lender, not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of Veterans Affairs or any government agency; this is noted on all of our advertisements, social media accounts, and our website. While the VA guarantees a portion of each VA home loan, the department relies on individual lenders, like Veterans United Home Loans, to actually issue the loans. We certainly encourage people to shop around with several lenders to find the best deal for them! We realize that interest rates can vary from lender to lender and is one of the most important factors in your home buying decision. As far as fees go, the VA allows lenders to charge up to 1% of the loan amount to cover origination, processing and underwriting costs. If the lender is charging the 1% fee, they are not allowed to tack on additional charges for things the VA basically considers overhead. Our goal at Veterans United is to help create the best situation for yourself and your family.
A member of our Client Advocate team is available to speak with you further to discuss other aspects of your experience and ways we might improve our service.
I highly recommend using Veterans United when buying a home. They make it a very easy process and do not try to hide anything
Ask questions… Veterans United will navigate the pre-approval process right through closing with great information and will help ease tensions as relocating and moving your lift is hard enough.. 10 in my book
