The experience was a bit stressful at times, but all in all not bad. I would of liked to have all my to-do list at once instead of a few here and there. And I realize that the housing market took a dump awhile back, but if you can clearly see that a prospective buyer has excellent or good credit and you see that they are able to make their mortgage payment you shouldn't have to get divorce decrees and other pieces of information. That was the part I hated most about the process. All the different documents that shouldn't need to be a part of the process. It is a bit excessive.
We had an excellent loan officer. Our only complaint was with underwriter requesting last minute information that could have been taken care of 2 months prior. Day before when we were supposed to close, underwriter was verifying with our property manager if we lived there and made on time rent payments. Seemed pretty late in process.
