08/29/2025 at 10:00 AM the title agency called me and stated the loan had closed and funds had been dispersed. At around 4:00 PM I received a text from my realtor who had been paid stating the loan had nots been funded. We had already moved in the house by that time. I call VA Home Loans and Dika said the loan had not been funded. This all took place over Labor Day and on Tuesday AM I called Priority title and the loan had been funded and they paid all parties. This caused my wife and I a lot of worry and stress. I have been in real state investing along time and any loan officer that makes a mistake needs to own it not place blame. Response from Veterans United
Hi Stephen,
I’m really sorry for the stress and confusion you and your wife experienced around the timing of your loan funding. I know how unsettling it must have felt to be moved in but unsure if everything had closed properly. That’s not the kind of worry I ever want our borrowers to go through, especially during such an important moment.
Clear communication is something we take seriously, and I’m sorry this situation left you feeling otherwise. I’d like the chance to connect with you directly and learn more so we can address your concerns. If you’re open to it, please reach out to our Client Advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, and typically respond the next business day if a message comes in after hours.
After adjusting to how buying a house has changed from my last time, I found the whole process to be simple and stress-free.

Great

I truly enjoyed working with Alan David. He made the home buying process much easier and less stressful. He always answered my questions quickly no matter how silly they may have seemed and always put my mind at rest if there was anything that I was anxious about. I love Veteran's United's portal which was easy to navigate and would show anything that we needed to do on our part and walked us through each step of the home buying process. We used them for our 1st home and now our 2nd home loan.

Very organized and efficient with the whole process.

The entire team we worked with was great!

The ease and convince of buying a home through Veterans United is surpassed by none. While several of my friends were buying houses and describing all the headaches their lenders were causing for them I was boasting about how smooth everything was going with my lender Veterans United!

Easy to work with and wonderful communication. I love the to-do list and the little videos explaining things as I went through the process. As a first time homebuyer it was super helpful.

The entire process was fast and efficient from start to finish. Kara and Emmett went above and beyond for us and we will only use Veterans United going forward!

I was pre-approved within hours of starting the application. Everyone was quick to respond to my questions. From start to finish I felt like I was their only customer. Each person I spoke to was very personable and made me feel like I had known them for years. I would highly recommend Veterans United for your home loan needs.

It’s not often that you will see a mortgage lender cold call you out of the blue to get you better rates, when you’re already their client. Veterans United dropped my rate ober a full point when I didn’t even know it could be done. I appreciate their team and the work they have done to not only take care of my loan, but to also make sure I was informed and taken care of the whole way.

To darn much paperwork.
