This was the second house I’ve purchased, but the first with Veterans United. The process was night and day from my first home! Tom Champion and his team are fantastic!! I didn’t have to worry about a thing, they held my hand through it all and streamlined the process making it a fast and smooth home buying experience. I will never not use them again! I highly recommend!
Buying a home isn't easy. But, it doesn't have to be overwhelming. In fact, it can be quite straightforward, making something that isn't inherently easy, manageable. I think Veterans United, through a combination of their intuitive application and friendly and helpful staff, have a winning formula to navigate any would-be home buyer through this process successfully. This is my third time using them, and I wouldn't go to anyone else.
Everyone says buying a home is a process, I found it to be an easy one with Veterans United. 100/10 I would buy again with them if I had use for a second home!
The experience was a rough one. Occupancy requirements, same job skill set when switching jobs, Full time job requirements when first applying, 2 year part time job history if you apply for the loan working part time, letters of explanation, and alot of other things. This is all too much for disabled veterans or any other veteran, especially those with mental disabilities such as PTSD. This has been a horrible experience. I got through it with a lot of patience and alcohol. Certain rules need to change to make it easier for veterans to have a stress free chance of owning a home. I have already heard stories from other veterans who say they don't wanna go through the VA because of the stress and all the documents you gotta provide. Other loan companies don't want all this information. As long as you can pay the mortgage and the down payment they don't care. I am grateful for the experience because it taught me a lot, but to do it again I don't know if I would be so quick to do it.

Eric and I are so thankful for the whole team at VU. This was our first home buying experience. Even though there was many bumps due to a lousy selling agent they all went above and beyond for us!
