Communication on what military documents was needed was not made clear until it was to late. I had to switch to a conventional loan.
At the closing there was a glitch about the requirements to wire money to the title company. I asked Nikki and Steve on what was going to be needed on the day of closing and how to be ready. They did not provide that guidance. On the day of closing I was unable to wire money from my bank because I was not prepared. My bank will not do wire transfers on line. I did not know this because did not know to ask the question. I had to drive 3 hours to a bank branch on the day of closing to do an in person wire transfer. Not to mention it was me who was able to research and discover how to resolve the issue. I felt very alone, disappointed, and worried at the closing.
As a 68 year old Vet having never using my VA loan benefits before, I was a bit skeptical on what to expect...sure glad Bobby Moss answered the phone when I called in. He made the whole experience worry free & walked us through everything. Bobby & his assistant, Jennica, are true professionals & have the perfect personality & temperament to be working with our Veterans...CONGRATS to team Moss/Gomez!!!

Communication is a very important part of the entire process and I always felt like I was in the know. From updates to where I stood in the loan process, there was always an open channel of communication.

I had previously worked with VU during a recent purchase that fell through. I had a horrible experience with a different real estate agent KayCee Del Valle. She tried to railroad the process and eventually blamed me for cancelling the contract. She also attempted to keep my earnest money. But after I reported her to the state realty commission my earnest deposit was partially refunded. She however kept my due diligence deposit. I will formally report her actions to the state of North Carolina in hopes that her license will be either revoked or suspended. The house she was attempting to sell has mold and is not structurally sound. She lied about every aspect of the sale and condition of the home along with the responsibilities of a broker.
Just so thankful to you ALL...and MUCH blessings to you ALL during the holidays.
Our first time home buying process was literally as perfect as it could be. Everyone was super informative, answered all of our questions, and was there with us every step of the way. We loved their enthusiasm and how detailed they were when it came to inspections, the process and what would happen afterwards. We are incredibly grateful for our team and will absolutely recommend them to everyone.

I started looking for a veterans loan company on a Saturday night and before I could get finished my phone rang and it was Veterans United. After answering some questions then by Monday afternoon early my loan was approved, Josh did a great job dealing with me and answering questions and keeping me on the right path.
