It was a very seamless process and I was living overseas at the time, attempting to buy a home state side. Change in duty station is stressful enough and communication was spot on. They even helped with expediting the closing date to ensure I had a home to go to, rather than paying for more lodging fees. This is the second time I’ve used Veterans United and I will go to them again if I purchase another home.
My VU team made the process of home buying very smooth and answered any questions I had!
I love Veterans United. The application process is simple and clear. The portal is a wonderful tool. The team was very quick to respond with any questions. I would have to say that aside from everyone that I spoke with and them all being support pleasant; the amount of professionalism, care, and the level of communication with the customer is the best!
Would have helped if when I asked about putting money down to lower my payment if they had explained about reducing the interest rate instead of the amount of the loan. Otherwise it was a really good experience. Thank you Veterans United team.
I tried other places at 1st because some people doubt VU and don't like the way they do things but, that is not true st all. Veteran united has been awesome all the way around. Thanx guys!
The whole Veterans United team really worked hard to get us our home. We are so grateful to everyone for the work that was put in. We’re so happy to finally have a home for our two cats and be able to start a family.
This being my second experience with Veterans United, I am more impressed than the first time. I am glad to have Nick and his team on my side!
It went great! Had another lender to consider but chose Veterans United because they made me feel more comfortable and gave a good rating.
You are out of this world. You give us an experience that we won't forget. It was an amazing experience.
specially Stephanie, Haley, Rachel whom I spoke with the most.
Thank 😊 🙏 .you.
I have now worked with Ryan twice and he exemplifies professionalism. Ryan is a profound representative of Veterans United and I would recommend Ryan, his team, and Veterans United to every Veteran looking to purchase a home. The home buying experience can be vigorous and stressful but this team understands this and keeps you well-informed with every step along the way. Ryan and his team genuinely care about their clients. No matter how stressed I became, how many times I asked the same questions, what day & time I reached out, Ryan was on the ball. This team keeps the best interest of their Veterans, while remaining professional and objective with their actions. My wife and I look forward to working with this team again in the future and we know who to call!
The entire team took excellent care of me in my special circumstances and emotional state. I appreciate greatly all the care taken for me and my kids in this process.

Experience first-hand why 314,936 homeowners give us a perfect score!
I have worked with Denise Stroud three times, and each time I was happy with her performance.
From the start bill was full of information that was accurate that happened quick and easy. Bill left no questions unanswered the transition was easier due to the availability of bill.
As a first time home buyer, there were a lot of things I didn’t know went in to buying a home. James and his team broke everything down for me and explained everything along the way. They really worked with me and made the process easy for me. Now I’m a homeowner and I couldn’t be happier.
The trouble with VA loans is that the underwriters are way too picky about some things which delays the closing. They need to work with Veteran buyers on waivers and let them decide what repairs they want to handle on their own. Out buildings should be an automatic waiver unless they are a health and safety issue. The VA also needs to consider the moving process better and help Vets get moved, even pay for expenses for service-connected buyers with health problems. It felt like the VA never considered my health issues which made it super hard on me to move.
Response from Veterans United
Mark, we appreciate your honest feedback. Our Client Advocate team is here for you to help ensure an outstanding customer service experience, and we invite you to connect with us further. We understand that the underwriting process did not meet your expectations. The mortgage process can certainly feel intrusive, but we want to reassure you that this in-depth analysis is a worthwhile step. The underwriting process serves to protect the integrity of our industry and families who might otherwise fall into a financial hardship. While Veterans United does not have direct control over the actions of third party providers, it is important that we work together to promote resolution for you. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you, and we hope you enjoy your new home!
Very Great Team all around thanks to all involved
