My experience with Veterans United was a very positive. Initially, my credit score was a few points shy to be preaqualified. However, the Veterans United Staff kept me from being discouraged and explained that there were reaources in place (Lighthouse Program) to assist in getting my credit score needed for pre qualification and preapproval. My credit specialist Scott was very knowledgeable and put together a strategic plan for me to stick to in order to get the desired results. I took about two months to get where I needed to be but we made it.
The whole process was very smooth at underwriting it felt hectic but my team was always there to answer any questions I had no matter how mundane the question was.
From start to finish, our loan team made what could have been an incredibly stressful process feel manageable and supported every step of the way. Between the roof issues, closing changes, and all the last-minute moving pieces, they stayed responsive, patient, and professional throughout the entire process.Every question we had was answered quickly and thoroughly, and we always felt like they genuinely cared about getting us to the finish line. Buying a home can be overwhelming, but this team consistently went above and beyond to keep things moving and help us understand each step along the way.One of the sweetest touches was receiving a small care package that was personalized to our family and sent directly to our new home. It was such a thoughtful gesture during a hectic time and really showed how much they care about their clients beyond just the paperwork and numbers.We are so grateful for the hard work, communication, and dedication they showed during our home purchase. We truly could not have done it without them, and we would absolutely recommend them to anyone going through the home buying process.

Our team with Veterans was outstanding! Buying our first home was very stressful, but Lisa and everyone else made it all worthwhile. When our appraisal came in low, Lisa went to bat for us, advocating for an ROV that actually was approved. Our home was then appraised at what we bought it for. I don’t think it would have if Lisa didn’t do the hard work to prove the was worth more! Additionally, she was very flexible and helpful to answer questions and come up with numbers anytime we needed her.
Lastly, my husband and I are expecting our first baby. One day, we came home to a baby gift from Lisa, Melissa, and Bianca. That kind of kindness is above and beyond. We can’t thank everyone enough!
