Overall, I had a positive experience with Veterans United throughout my home-buying process. Purchasing a home while relocating to another state and starting a new job came with its challenges, but the Veterans United team helped make the financing side of things manageable. I appreciated their assistance in navigating the VA loan process and getting everything across the finish line.While there were some stressful moments along the way, I was pleased with Veterans United overall and would recommend them to other veterans looking to purchase a home.

I had tried working with a different lender and months later they and denied me for a loan. I talked to Arlo at Veterans United and had a pre-approval completed in about 3 hours. Everything else through the process was just as smooth and we were able to close on our house early.

The beginning process of buying our home was phenomenal. Everyone on the team was attentive, provided details, answered questions and was on top of things. After putting the offer in on the home and getting accepted that is when things went south. Matt F. Was helpful getting us over the Eric B. Who was helping with collecting stuff for underwriting. We were told we would be able to close in 30 days. We received things on the to-do checklists and then we heard nothing for a while week. I was then bombarded with multiple things to do on the checklist for things they needed and was told it was time sensitive to close in time. I got EVERYTHING in the same day. Then throughout the days the asked for things here and there. Then we were told everything was done and they were sending off for VA Approval. When they sent it off, we were originally told it was going to take 3 to 5 business days. Once the five day mark came around, we were told it was going to take 5 to 7.. the seventh day came around and we were told 7 to 10 business days. It ended up coming in on the 9th business day. However- they never told us what they considered as the 1st day so we were unsure of what day was what. We did have to speak with a supervisor to get an answer on anything because we kept getting the same answer with just a different way to word it from Matt and Eric about where we were in the process. Steph was able to figure everything out in a couple of hours. She was probably the most helpful towards the end of this process. After finally being able to close feels like a relief of not having to be through this process anymore. After we started the process with United we were actually warned about them and having problems and unfortunately we did experience some problems. I can only hope that the next person doesn't experience what we did and is given accurate information from the beginning.
